No principal

What it means

The token is valid, but no active Tobie user or admin stands behind it.

Common causes

• The person’s admin membership at the employer was removed.
• The grant is not bound to an employer.

What to do

Do not retry. The person should confirm their access with their employer, then connect the app again.

Retry: only after a fix. The same request fails the same way until you change the request, the credential or the resource.

Over MCP, the same failure is a tool result with isError: true, the code no_principal and retryable: false.
